It's Been A While!!!

We have missed talking with you. What has been going on with you?

Here--we have some really exciting stuff happening!!! Our football team is playing for the state championship tomorrow (Sat. Dec. 11) at Wake Forest University. We will be going up against Durham Hillside for the 4A championship. Our own Johnathon Boles is on the starting defensive line at noseguard. Our cheerleaders just won a spot at the state tournament--they usually win that competition.

We hope that you are continuing to adjust to life in Ecuador.

We are going to put videos of today's pep rally on our blog, so check it out.

We start our Christmas Break next Friday and will be out of school for 2 weeks, so we hope to be able to skype with you maybe sometime next week.

My name is Brandi Ferrebee. I am an eleventh grader at Davie High School. I am from W.V and I was raised in Mocksville, North Carolina. I have one older brother and two younger sisters. And when I graduate from high school I want to be a nurse.

My name is Mike Lewis. I am also in the eleventh grade and i attend Davie county high school. After high school i plan to attend a tech school to work on cars. Some of my hobbies are fishing and messing with anything that has a engine.

My name is Briana Jackson. I am a in the eleventh grade at Davie County High School. I am a Captain in the JROTC program. I am a youth bowler and travel league bowler. I plan to go to a Military College and to serve 8 or more years for the army.

Hey Corey,
First, we are so excited that we get to talk to someone like you in the Peace Corps! We hope that we can Skype with you on the 24th. After reading your e-mail we have realized how difficult it is trying to adapt in another country. When we saw how much you get paid monthly, we were shocked. There are so many different necessities you have to buy with only 292$, but we you explained the cost was much different. How much does milk and other dairy products cost?
We also read that you have encountered many LARGE insects. We would really like a picture, if possible? It was interesting to hear that vitamin B repels insects. We would also like to learn more about the buildings and their history.
